these are much better than the local market 200rs indicator durable since its almost 4 weeks iam using this with no issue
Maverick product really it was genuine and I would like to recommend it for buying through sparify fully satisfied with product
Having used a set of 4, cheap, so called "KTM style" indicators before on my Yamaha FZ16, I was not sure whether it would be a wise investment spending over 6 times the price of those cheap indicators on these pairs of indicators.
I took my chance and placed an order for these indicators and they arrived in a few days at my place - they were well packed inside a box and it took some time for me to unpack them!
In the box, there were 2 pairs of indicators that are well built and looked almost exactly as advertised! It seems they even have those little canbus circuits attached to the wires each to prevent fast flashing issues. However, and this is important - one pair of indicators have longer thread stem and the other pair have shorter thread stems and one of them has shorter wire as well. Quality of the wires is good enough, as are the lengths of the wires.
Trouble arose when I found out that these "universal" indicators did not come with washers and nuts so as to help us install them on non-KTM motorcycles. I own the first model of the Yamaha FZ16 (2008) and the original indicators have different setup for instalaltion as compared to those on KTMs.
I decided to use the same sized nuts from the existing cheap indicators to fix the new indicators but the nuts fit only the indicators with the short thread stem but the other pair had thread issues which made the nuts unusable. In fact, no nuts would fit and there was something wrong with the threads.
Finally, here is what I did to install the indicators on my FZ16:
1) Bought four pairs of washers and got them blackened.
2) Got the correct sized small holes drilled (secondary holes) in the washers to make use of the locating pins on the indicators so that they never rotate in their places and lose adjustment.
3) Got the threads of the long stemmed indicators re-threaded using a thread maker in a machine shop; this enabled me to use the existing nuts to install the indicators firmly in their places.
4) Severed the connectors that came crimped to the wires of both pairs of indicators and securely attached the wires that originally came with the stock indicators so as to use the pins that Yamaha used to connect different electrical points on the motorcycle.
5) Connected + & - wires of all four indicators to their respective pins and tested them to be working perfectly!
It ended up being quite a DIY task to install these indicators on my motorcycle as they were not really plug and play type but in the end, it all worked well and they look great on my ride!
Hopefully these blinkers are worth all the trouble I took to get them working on my ride instead of returning them straight away; hoping they last long!
only thing is they dont provide COD on this but overall great experience
